The kids and the grownups at home can enjoy these engaging courses, taught by exprienced educators/artists Rick and Jennifer Tan. Each course consists of five lessons with five videos and accompanying information/instructions. We create content throughout the year, so return for new content to supplement your learning at home! ART

Clay Modeling | Animals

 Working with clay is a tactile experience that is also a meditative practice! This is a 5-lesson course that takes the student through 10-12 min. videos, where Rick Tan will demonstrate how to manipulate clay to become chickadees, puppies, a walrus, lizard, and tortoise.

With pencil and paper, learn to appreciate the beauty of nature with this 5-lesson course on drawing a honeybee, baby seal, mallard duck, wolf, and chameleon. Rick Tan will take you through basic  skills of proportion, sketching, drawing, and shading.

Perspective Drawing | The Essentials

Perspective drawing is all about point of view. Create the illusion of depth and 3-dimensions with paper, a straight edge, and pencil. Rick Tan teaches this 5-lesson course where you will use your powers of precision and geometric panache!

Watercolor Painting | Bodies of Water

Learn wet-on-wet watercolor painting in this 5-lesson course! Paint a river, lake, puddle, ocean, and waterfall with Rick Tan, as you learn and apply the techniques of pigment intensity, stroke, contrast, blending, and perspective.

Herbal Alchemy | Summer and Fall Herbs

​Nature has a bountiful supply of healing herbs if you know how to forage for them and how to use them. This 5-lesson course with Jennifer Tan will guide you to find and prepare plantain, wild viola, self-heal, rose hips, and yarrow.
